    • Hi Laurel! Holler-Ween is so much fun. My favorite part is people just being silly… and free candy!
My neighbor lady says, “Gates hardly ever work right… So when you get a good one… You hang on to it.” LOL! πŸ‘πŸ‘

      • LOL. All that house needs is plastic flowers planted on either side!
I don’t do Halloween anymore but I did notice that I didn’t hear one trick or treater come down our street. It used to be such fun…and of course, in the before time, I would have been running around like a mad woman….getting Christmas out. It took more than a month for me to get everything decorated. Ah….the before time.

      • That’s why I call them “Holler-Days. (Just like Marvin Gaye (“makes me wanna holler.”) It burns me up when I see “the nice person” in a family doing all of the work for a holiday. I feel like everyone should pitch in with the work and the fun. That way, there can be lots of fun and appreciation for everybody.

      • I was always that “nice person.” Ha. I’m not anymore! LOL
People used to come to my house all the time to look at the Christmas decorations. When they would say “this is just beautiful,” Loser would smile and say “thank you.” Like he had lifted a finger….LOLOL

      • A narcissist will suck all the joy out of life & rob you of your peace of mind. The drama and pain they cause are second only to drug addicts and alcoholics. (My family has a large number of narcissists.) My Philosophy is; Grunt and walk away. I won’t have the most precious things in life: time, love, kindness and generosity stolen from me by sociopaths who are incapable of caring. I Will Never Surrender my self-respect and love for other people.
Don’t worry for a minute, Laurel, everyone, who matters, knew and knows you were the one who made that house into a home. 👍👍

      • Thank you for your kind words. Ha. I haven’t decorated for three years now and one of my daughters wouldn’t bring her children to see me for Christmas because (as she put it) “why would I bring my children to somebodys’ house who didn’t even bother to decorate?” Sigh. Children.

      • You certainly don’t have to put up with passive-aggressive control issues even from your daughter. Take a holiday cruise or a holiday Bed and Breakfast weekend… somewhere you can meet new people. Relationships are so complicated that sometimes it’s best to just get away. Unkind words come from a person who is in pain. If you aren’t responsible for the pain you shouldn’t have to endure the unkind words.

  1. ROFLMAO – these are great! “yellered hillbilly teeth” – I’ll never look at candy corn the same way again!
    XD

I like the spicy dinosaur, the disco turkey, and the Gulf States murder log costumes the best, I think! That splattered clown on the front of the car must have been one that was lurking outside of a school, eh?

“Trick or treat – smell my feet – give me something good to eat!
    If you don’t, I don’t care – I’ll just steal your underwear!”

Happy “Holler-ween,” Buffalo Tom! Give the rest of the gang a big ole hug from me!

    • Thanks! I hope you had a fun Holler-Ween! It’s our only really silly holiday. We didn’t see anyone in a Trump costume… and that has got to be a bad sign for the “Orange Hitler!”
Around here it was a great Holler-Ween for Pokemon, superheroes and traditional costumes. “The what are you supposed to be costumes” were also very big. We saw a couple Bernie costumes… Iggy says they were just “Grandfathers who weren’t wearing costumes.” Gunther, as Stabby (S-Tabby) the Clown, was a big hit! I wore my costume the entire month of October and wore a big hole in the seat of my pants! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽƒ

      • LOL – I had a very fun Holler-Ween; especially since I bought my favourite candy and chocolate for trick-or-treaters, but nobody showed up…so, it was all mine! I won’t eat it all at once, though…sweets in moderation!

At least you have 11 months to repair the hole in the seat of your pants – just in time for October 2017!

      • ROFL – I think that more candy is consumed by adults than by the trick-or-treaters! Just a wild guess on my part, but I remember how my parents always instructed us kids to only have a couple of pieces of candy per day…but the candy disappeared quickly, especially on days when we were in school!

      • Hahahahaha! I’m sure you are 100% correct.
I like talking to people and I talk to everybody: Back in the summer, the lady stocking the candy shelves at Walmart said that people eat lots and lots and lots of candy…. and lots and lots and lots of chips and sodas. I asked her if this was the reason for Walmart displaying all of their merchandise in huge piles? whenever I’m looking for something in Walmart… like Underpants… if I can’t find them… I just ask an employee, “Where do you keep your pile of Underpants?” 👍👍

      • ROFLMAO – the only time I go to Wal-Mart is to find a specific brand of socks…and they are always hard to find! I wish that they had a big pile o’ socks on display – might make it easier to find them!

      • LOL! It definitely pays to have a sense of humor when it comes to Walmart. Target and Walmart are easy One-Stop shopping for me. I must say that my Walmart has very friendly and helpful employees. the genius-type nerds that work in the computer Department are very helpful. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ“±πŸ’»πŸ’Ώ
