    • LOL! First Church of the Nincompoop is part of the Secular Humanist and Secular Feline-ist denomination. So we have nothing to do with and have nothing in common with the Charismatic Evangelical Christian Movement. NOTHING IN COMMON with them. Because we are such a tiny minority in our community we are referred to as “Nincompoops.” 👍👍

      • Oh they are… They just won’t admit it. Churches are filled to the rafters with crazy cat ladies. They are the backbone of Singles Mixer Night and Casino Night at churches. You can tell who they are by the cat hair in their casseroles! My great-uncle, the Reverend Alexander, was a Brush-arbor Preacher in Carbon Hill, Alabama and used to preach about cats being “Satan’s familiars.” I figured this is the reason his cat, Smokey, frequently pooped in his slippers. 👍👍

  1. ROFLMAO – I can’t say that I’m surprised! That is what I’d expect from the heart of the “Bible Belt!”
    😄

Hillary was never a consideration, because people believe the nutbag conspiracy theories spewed from underneath the pointy white hats of the alt-right…these last 29 days before the election will only get crazier, now that the Drumpf is “unshackled!”

I need more popcorn to munch on while I watch the final implosion of the GOP…

    • What I find amazing is Donald Trump was actually ahead of Jesus in the race until “he went too far.” … so enter; Jesus. Many of the women in our community are misogynists as well…. so Hillary was never a consideration. The pressure to think this way is immense and constant. Proselytizing is the number one career opportunity here… closely followed by hypocrisy and deep suspicion of anyone who is “different.” Most importantly, make no mistake… These deeply held beliefs are indelible and not up for debate. everyone isn’t this way but they are the majority. They are entitled to their beliefs and opinions.

      • That’s true…and, in my experience, the people with deeply held beliefs tend to demand that their beliefs should never be questioned – yet, they don’t respect the beliefs of others. It’s an interesting thing, for sure!

I agree…everyone is entitled to their beliefs and opinions. My rule tends to be, “don’t shove your opinions at me, and I’ll be happy to do the same.”
Respect definitely goes a long way, if it’s respected…

      • I agree. Interestingly these folks make it up as they go along… clergy AND congregation alike. “Theology without all the bother” if you embrace this philosophy You Can Have a Heart full of forgiveness for Donald Trump and nothing but contempt for Hillary (even though she has done nothing wrong.) Fundamentalist zealots seem to all operate in the same way.

      • That’s the irony, isn’t it? Forgive the Drumpf for his unforgivable behavior…but rake Hillary over the coals for what her husband did! It’s amazing, the mental gymnastics that people do to turn a blind eye to hypocrisy. Seeing the way many people of faith cherry-pick things from the “good book” is why going to church just isn’t for me – nature is my religion, and the outdoors is my church.
        😎

Extremist zealots of all religions are dangerous, for sure!

  2. Will I go to hell if I laugh Out Loud? hehe This has been a crazy race and yes, evangelicals going for Trump is crazy. I know why they are, they feel that they will have their own supreme court judges nominated and then gay marriage, abortion, the right to not serve gays and other decisions will be overturned. But I just cringe when people say that Trump is Gods answer for America. I just don’t get it 🙂
