Today was the first day of school for me and the guys! All three of us are in Mr. Busby’s 4th grade class. Mr. Busby is a great teacher and everybody likes him.

This is my third semester in the 4th grade which makes me a 4th grade enthusiast!
I am a former 3rd grade, 2nd grade and 1st grade enthusiast!

Because school started today, we took the day off yesterday to visit the French “Quarter” here in Sweet Home.

Me and the guys are taking up a collection to erect historical markers … or as we call them … “hysterical markers” to point out all of the exciting sights that you should visit.
Here is the story behind the French Quarter…

We are still transferring files but we figured we better do a test post and make sure we’re doing it right.

  1. LOL – love the “Hillbilly horse-shoes!” That lady at the bus stop appears to be related to “Dorf,” if I recall the name correctly!
    XD

Those class assignments look like fun…at least the teacher is creative!

    • LOL! The lady at the bus stop makes me laugh every time I think about it. I’m so glad that people are funny and quirky because it takes the humdrum out of my day. She does resemble Tim Conway’s golfer character Dorf! LOL!
there are a lot of really amazing teachers out there… one of the hardest jobs in the world!
I’m pretty much done with the file transfer Etc! Back to normal! 👍💻👍

    • The story behind Battery Park , New York City :
Much of the story is still shrouded in mystery… Many think it got its name from the Ever-Ready flashlight battery people but it didn’t!
      In a nutshell:
Over 100 years ago Larry’s pancake and funnel cake stand exploded when Larry placed a large tank of propane too close to the stove. At the time, it was referred to as “the explosion heard ’round the world!” Of course, pancake and funnel cake batter flew everywhere! Long story short: within hours of the explosion, New Yorkers began yelling, “Larry! clean up the BATTER-y Park! it’s drawing flies”
There you have it and thanks for asking! Us Historian-types have got to stick together!
